I say "week" because it was only 3 days long. And I'm glad it was. It was exhausting, stressful, overwhelming, fun and everything in between.
I have a class of 12 busy little boys, and 5 chatty little girls. They are so cute and make me laugh. I also have a little boy in my class who has down syndrome. He is adorable and melts my heart when he says "Mrs. Johansson!" I know it's going to be very challenging, but I know I am going to learn so much from him. I'm so excited to work with him.
Every day after recess I get a pile of weeds, haha.
And lots of sweet notes.
Thursday night was rough. I was feeling discouraged and inadequate...especially compared to the other teachers who have taught 20+ years. Teaching is hard. So, so hard. But I love it and I'm so glad I picked this career choice.
Stay tuned for the rest of the year...I'm sure I'll have lots of fun stories to tell :)
It is going to be a wonderful adventure and I'm not just talking about monitoring the play ground! Have fun but what ever you do NEVER turn your back on them . . . (tee hee) You look great!
